This week was more than I could have hoped for.⁣
⁣
Watching these kids show up every day ready to learn — about artists, techniques, materials, and themselves — and then take everything we explored and turn it into something completely their own was incredible.⁣
⁣
I watched them take risks. Make choices. Change their minds. Try again. Surprise themselves. And grow more confident in their own creativity every single day.⁣
⁣
And then came 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘺. 🥹⁣
⁣
Watching them walk in and see their artwork displayed — and seeing how PROUD they were to share it with their families and friends — nearly broke me. And then watching their families light up with pride right alongside them… I mean. My heart. 😭♥️⁣
⁣
But somewhere in all of it, I realized something, too.⁣
⁣
There’s a feeling you get when you find what you’re meant to be doing.⁣
⁣
Teaching these kids.⁣
Watching them learn.⁣
Getting to experience their art.⁣
⁣
What a 𝙜𝙞𝙛𝙩.⁣
⁣
I’m so incredibly proud of every single young artist who walked through those doors this week.⁣
⁣

I love designing these workshops to feel relaxed, thoughtful, and approachable — a chance to slow down, gather around the table, and make something inspired by the season, the setting, and the little details around us.⁣

Each session begins with 𝙖 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨 guests can use throughout the workshop — washes, layering, texture, brushwork, color mixing, and ways to create movement with water.⁣

From there, everyone creates 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞 𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 as a way to explore, loosen up, and practice without pressure. These smaller pieces give guests time to play with shells, shoreline colors, ocean textures, and collected beach details before moving into their larger final painting.⁣
